Yahoo says they have now integrated Yahoo! Mail with Yahoo! Messenger
Internet giant Yahoo! happens to be the operator of the web’s most popular webmail service. The company has now said that it has now embedded instant messaging features inside its e-mail program.
The company said that the web users can now run both these applications in one instance of a web browser. It would make it easier for the service users to communicate with their buddies online.
With this, users would not be required to download the Yahoo! Messenger application for chatting with their online pals.
Yahoo! added that the instant messaging dialogue will take place in a new conversation window within Yahoo Mail. This would let them chat with many people together. And they would still have the Yahoo! Mail loaded in the background.
John Kremer, vice president of Yahoo Mail added his views: “We are hopefully bridging the gap between e-mail users and IM users. There is still a chunk of Yahoo Mail users who aren’t using IM.”
With this, Yahoo! technically steals yet another feature from Google Gmail service which has featured integration with Google Talk since ages now!
