Opera to provide web browser for Samsung mobile phones

Web browser developers Opera Software ASA has confirmed that they have signed on a deal with Samsung and they would be providing them web browser applications for their mobile phones.

Opera already has web browser applications for several mobile operating system and they claim that the browser is standards compliant and reformats Web pages for viewing on a small screen.

The deal is for per phone sold so there is no estimated worth of this collaboration between the two companies. Opera already provide browser solutions for the Nintendo DS and Wii gaming platforms.

The company also develops a desktop version of their product and it is one of the few web browsers to pass the Acid2 test.
