CA offering security applications with a warranty
Software Company CA has announced that they are now offering up to $1,500 for computer repairs if users of their anti-virus application are infected with a virus.
This special offer is available to all the home buyers of CA Internet Security Suite 2007 and CA Anti-Virus 2007. It includes costs for technical support, repairs and hardware replacement.
However, there is a catch, which states that the guarantee does not extend to data loss or damage to software other than the Windows operating system.
In addition, users cannot use their personal laptops to work networks. In addition, they cannot turn off the application and its auto update mechanism.
George Kafkarkou, CA’s senior vice president for worldwide sales spoke on this new offer: “They hear about phishing scams, spyware capturing credit cards. All of these elements build fear and confusion and uncertainty into consumers.”
