Gizmo Project offering free calls to lure users away from Skype
SIPphone is the company behind the much talked about Gizmo Project and they are making more news with the announcement that they are now offering web users the ability to call landlines in 60 countries, and mobile phones in 17 countries for free.
This is a very lucrative offer when compared to what Skype the market leader in this segment offers. Skype is currently letting people living in USA and Canada make free calls within the region. Users are required to pay a small price to make calls on landlines in other countries.
The company has some limitations in place however for these free calls. They require the callers and the receivers to be registered users of Gizmo VoIP software. And both the parties should be regular users of this service.
SIPphone added that they reserve the right to limit call lengths of these free calls. However, the cool thing is that the service enables one to make free calls to as many as two billion landlines and mobiles around the world. Sadly, India is not on the list of countries where you can call for free.
