Yahoo! launches a custom version of Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 for their users
Search engine company Yahoo! has surprised the analysts by launching its own customized version of the Internet Explorer 7 beta 2 browser. This edition comes loaded with Yahoo! Search Toolbar and loads up Yahoo! Mail in a separate tab for the users.
Yahoo.com is set as the homepage for this customized browser and this would be perfect for web surfers who use Yahoo! services.
They have used the Microsoft’s Internet Explorer Administration Kit to customize IE 7. This might be their way to take on Google’s collaboration with Mozilla Firefox browser and Microsoft’s integration of IE7 in the upcoming Vista operating system.
It would be interesting to see how many users actually go for their custom version rather than Microsoft’s original release.
