Opera’s Updated Website Aimed at New Users

Opera Software ASA launched a new updated Opera.com website, which is apparently aimed at getting new users to try out opera. It emphasize on the fact that Opera Browser is available in free version, which has all the features of the paid version.

The site changes the front-page content depending upon the browser the visitor is using. Internet Explorer and Firefox users get to see the main features of the latest version of the browser and get just a Free Download button. For Opera users, if they are not on the latest version, they get both download and buy buttons. Users on the latest version get just the buy button with details about the benefits on getting a registered version.

Opera users on the IRC found the new website ‘cool’ and support section better organized. A new version is long overdue and let us hope this website is going to be soon complimented with an update to the browser.

Opera is faster than Mozilla itself, but lack of users. I tested it on my ancient pc and… it’s still good considering some site doesn’t support it…
