McAfee Falcon would come in four editions

McAfee has said in a statement that their upcoming subscription based security package offering Falcon would come in four versions. This product will take on Norton 360 and Microsoft’s Live OneCare offerings.

These four different variants will differ in the number of security features giving the consumer flexibility in choosing what he wants from the company. This would help them to offer an expensive all in one package to the higher end customer wanting the best in security from the company.

Microsoft and Symantec are offering just one variant of their products.

Marc Solomon, director of product management at McAfee however confirmed that all these four packages would include the basic security features–antivirus, AntiSpyware and a firewall. In addition, they would also feature SiteAdvisor and PC health tools.

Solomon said: “Rather than try to force a one-size-fits-all service on all consumers, we have tailored four specific service packages for four different consumer profiles.”
