Microsoft collaborates with Qwest on Windows Live OneCare bundle
Microsoft Corp. has said that they are collaborating with Qwest’s high-speed Internet service to bundle their internet security offering Windows Live OneCare in their packages.
This would be the first such bundle offering for the software giants to promote their security package which was released just a couple of days ago.
Windows Live OneCare is developed to take care of all the security needs of a user. It protects the users from viruses, worms and online attacks. The aim is to make sure that the computer runs smoothly.
This subscription-based package will be offered at no additional cost to Qwest’s broadband subscribers along with Windows Live-branded e-mail and other programs.
Denver-based Qwest Communications International Inc. has been already offering some MSN branded services to their customers but offered McAfee Inc.’s security application. Users would have an option to choose between the Microsoft’s Live OneCare and McAfee offering.
