Oracle to soon hike MySQL pricing!
The Register has reported that corporate customers of MySQL have been informed by Oracle about an upcoming price hike.
No details have been given but it has been made very clear that the pricing of the plans offered to customers would be hiked in the coming months.
Oracle is also killing off the cheaper Basic and Silver support plans.
Customers are being advised to expand their agreements right-away to save themselves the hassle of the upcoming price hike.
Oracle is already being criticized for the steps they have taken related to Solaris and Java. This latest development is further going to enhance the backlash against them.
