BitDefender Enterprise Security Suite for Linux

BitDefender has launched a security suite targeted at the companies running the Linux operating systems on their networks.

This suite is for mail and file servers running on Samba or FreeBSD and provides virus, spam and spyware filtering tools.

The company has launched several variants of this security suite to suit the requirement of various levels of companies and enterprises. They are targeting enterprises and small and medium-sized businesses.

Some of the innovative features of this suite are support for simple network management protocol, a remote administration interface and group management.

Alex Balan, product manager for the Fort Lauderdale, Fla., security firm, said in a statement on this launch: “Having just come out of an extremely rigorous, public beta testing period, the new BitDefender Enterprise Security Suite offers a suite of perimeter security solutions for users that require industrial strength protection from the growing list of vulnerabilities being targeted towards Linux operating systems.”
