StatCounter: Google Chrome now has a 10% market share
As per the statistics for the month of August provided by StatCounter, Google Chrome has finally crossed 10% market share in the web browser market.

It remains the third most popular browser in the market and that is a huge achievement considering it is fairly new to the market.
In fact, for this month… Google Chrome has managed a market share of 11%.

It has managed to overtake both Apple Safari and Opera in the recent years though next target is going to be very tough.
Mozilla Firefox has a 30% market share and it could take Chrome a couple of years before it can start challenging it.
Google Chrome OS is arriving later this year… If this netbook platform becomes a hit, it would most certainly boost the share of Chrome.
