Microsoft claims MS Office 2007 shipment on track
While we hear claims of more possible delays for the Windows Vista operating system, the software giant Microsoft has said that the new Office software remains on schedule for the end of the year.
Microsoft is going to have an interesting year as they launch some of the most important products ever in their history. Vista is going to be the most important launch for the company and MS Office 2007 is expected to compliment the launch of Vista.
This week, they launched the latest test builds of both Windows Vista and Office 2007. In addition, they also have a new test version of its next-generation server operating system, called Longhorn Server.
Antoine Leblond, vice-president of Office program management said in a statement that Office 2007 would be released by the end of the year. He added that this product would be optimized for improved performance on the Vista operating system.
Windows Vista of course is scheduled for mass launch in January next year while the server edition would ship by the end of next year.
