Tencent Holdings acquires social networking company Comsenz

China based Tencent Holdings has announced that they are acquiring the social networking company Comsenz.

Google is one of the supporters of this company and the deal is rumored to be worth around USD 60 million. Sequoia Capital and Morningside Ventures are two other major investors in this company.

Tencent said that they would now connect their own QQ instant messaging service with the Comsenz’s Discuz! Platform.

China is the world’s largest internet market and social networking is a very important segment for any online company.
