Gartner believes Vista would arrive in March/June 2007
Software giants Microsoft have not released a new consumer operation system for many years now. Windows XP remains their primary offering in this segment. Vista has been delayed many times and the latest scheduled delivery date is January next year.
Microsoft has said in March earlier this year while announcing the latest delay in Vista’s launch that it would not release the consumer version of Windows Vista until January 2007. This meant that they would miss out on the lucrative holiday season later this year.
However, the latest news in is that research analyst firm Gartner has said in a statement that they believe that Vista will come out even later than Microsoft has already forecast. They predication is that the company would be only able to ship this upcoming new release until sometime between March and June of 2007.
Microsoft on their part has said that they disagree with these views from Gartner and claimed that they are well on track to meet its revised released schedule.
