Microsoft Patch Tuesday to bring Internet Explorer fix
Microsoft has confirmed that its monthly patch release to come this Tuesday would include the patch for the crucial Internet Explorer bug. The company is scheduled to release five security patches for its products next Tuesday.
Along with this bug, the company would also be fixing three other issues in its Windows operating system. Other than that, the patch release would fix an unspecified problem in Office that is rated moderate.
Microsoft was asked by the security companies to release the patch for this IE bug early. However, that seems to be pretty much unlikely now. Stephen Toulouse, security program manager with Microsoft’s security response center said in a statement on this issue: “Our test and engineering plan for that update that we began two weeks ago is on track to have that update ready for Tuesday.â€
Market experts believe that this coming patch release would include some ActiveX changes aimed at bringing the company into compliance with a 2003 court decision relating to patents held by Eolas Technologies and the University of California. This would change the way; Internet Explorer interacts with some multimedia technologies like Flash and QuickTime.
