Apple releases Mac OS X 10.4.6

Apple Computers have updated their operating system offering. The latest version is now Mac OS X 10.4.6. This update brings several fixes to Finder and networking. It also fixes problems with some Apple and third party applications.

Apple has said that the update fixes the issue where the operating system might stop responding when a user tries to login to a FileVault image that has been damaged. This would now result in a simple error message: “You are unable to log in to the user account (name) at this time.”

The company has also fixed issues with mail application, iChat and issues with iSight camera. Several of these fixes are for the Macs, which are now shipping with the Intel based microprocessors.

This latest update also includes iSync 2.2, which provides support for additional mobile phones.
