Yahoo! Toolbar brings tabbed browsing to Internet Explorer
Search engine giant Yahoo! aims to come to rescue to the million of Internet Explorer users who want tabbed browsing in their browsers without wanting to switch to alternative browsers like Opera and Firefox.
Microsoft has tried to do something similar in their recent MSN Toolbar update and now Yahoo! adds tabbed browser facility in their updated toolbar product, which supports Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Explorer 6.
Microsoft is already beta testing Internet Explorer 7, which brings tabbed browsing to this widely used web browser product, and is expected to launch a final product by the end of the year. However, this update would be limited for Windows XP and Vista users.
Yahoo! added that they have also added multiple improvements in this update in features like bookmarks, mail alerts, and detecting spyware. In addition, the company has also integrated Del.icio.us features in the browser toolbar. Yahoo! had acquired this startup recently and now users would be able to access their Del.icio.us accounts using the toolbar from the company.

Why not use the “lookalike but whitout the fuss, super lightweight” CrazyBrowser v.2.
Although it uses some of IE’s own files, this browser which I’ve been using for over 2 years, offers a multitab or mdi interface, you can save all active tabs to groups (text file with the urls, takes no space at all) for later retrieval. It now has the zoom and unzoom page like Opera, accepts most IE plugins and more.
It’s size is under 1Meg! I just love it.
