Opera Mini almost ready for the Apple iPhone
Opera Software has revealed that they have developed a version of their Opera Mini mobile web browser for the Apple iPhone.
The company would have this edition of the Opera Browser on display at the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona next week.
Opera said that Opera Mini is much faster than the Apple Safari browser on the iPhone. And since it uses their Opera Turbo technology, users would spend less on their mobile data transfer bills.
The problem however is Apple… Opera has not yet submitted this browser product for approval to appear in the Apple App Store.
The company has been pretty strict with the approval process and it is unlikely that they would allow a rival product to Safari on it.
Opera is based in Europe and they might be hoping for support from the European Commission to get its Opera Mini app approved for the iPhone platform.
