Apple Computers updates their previously released patch
Apple Computer has released another patch to its already released patch releases. This patch fixes problems paused by earlier released patched by the company codenamed Security Update 2006-002.
This update caused problems for some Mac users who found that the Safari has a blank icon that won’t launch the Web browser. Apple said in a statement that the problem occurs if the user moved Safari out of the applications folder before installing the update.
Johannes Ullrich, the chief research officer at the Sans Institute added his views on this software patch: “The update appears to fix installation problems with the earlier patch, because it’s not addressing any new security issues.â€
Interestingly, this is the third attempt to issue a glitch-free Mac OS X security update.
