Adobe Systems has big investment plans for India
Developers of hugely popular digital imaging and publishing software applications, Adobe Systems has said that they are planning to invest heavily in the Indian market in the coming years.
The company would be investing over $200 million in India over the next five years. This would include expanding their employee base to around 900. Currently the company has around 650 workers in India.
Interestingly, India already accounts for 12% of Adobe’s total global employee strength. In fact, India counts for almost a fourth of its global engineering strength. The news of expanding its presence in India came from Bruce Chizen, CEO of Adobe Systems.
Bruce was in India to announce a slew of new initiatives for the country. The company has had a presence in the Indian market since 1998 and is the second largest R&D centre after the US for Adobe Systems.
