Oracle launches Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10g
Database applications maker Oracle is entering enterprise searching market to compete with Google’s own products. The company has announced the availability of Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10g.
As per the company statement, Oracle Secure Enterprise Search 10g is a secure enterprise search engine that reaches into every nook and cranny but minds its p’s and q’s around business rules and sensitive data.
This application would index enterprise data cubbies, including internal and external Web sites, databases, file servers, document repositories, enterprise content management systems, portals, e-mail systems and business applications and make them available for search on the company’s internal network.
However, it takes care of the corporate security policies to prevent unwanted leak of information to employees who are not entitled to watch some particular documents.
