Microsoft Windows XP Starter Edition for India
Software giants Microsoft has finally released the much talked about Windows XP Starter Edition for India edition of its popular operating system in the Indian market. However, it just might be a bit late as the company is already due to launch its latest operating system version Microsoft Windows Vista later this year.
Microsoft has said that this edition has been developed after gathering extensive feedback from first time users in India. Microsoft Windows XP Starter Edition for India comes with support for multi language support and allows the users to seamlessly switch between English, Hindi, and Tamil as the computing interface.
In addition, the company also unveiled their Works 8 productivity applications suite for the Indian market. Microsoft has said that they would be working along with HCL and other OEM partners to make these products available easily around the country.
Microsoft added that HCL would be shipping ‘Windows XP Starter Edition for India’ based entry-level desktops & notebooks preloaded with Works 8 and other products and services such as Quick Heal anti-virus, education content from Edurite, and broadband access from BSNL and MTNL.
