Facebook to allow updates to status messages through e-mail
Social networking service Facebook is currently testing a new feature with limited number of users which allows them to respond to status messages through email.
Currently, the service sends you an email with an alert. You have to click on the link to access the message in a browser window to respond to that message.
The new system would allow you to respond by simply replying to the alert message.
It remains to be seen how soon this feature would be made available to all Facebook members.
This would however result in some loss of page-views for the service.
