Microsoft opens up an office in Bosnia
Software giants Microsoft have announced that they are opening up an office in Bosnia with the aim of curbing software piracy of Microsoft products in the region.
Microsoft manager for southeastern Europe Goran Radman claimed that the region sees a shocking 70% piracy of Microsoft software and they plan to bring this down to around 50% in the coming years through promotion and brand awareness.
In comparison, the average piracy in the European countries is closer to a more subtle 30%. The company had last year run a program in the region when they offered its products at a 40.0 percent discount.
Microsoft also recently signed on an agreement with the Bosnian government about their cooperation in this matter.
