Google Chrome now has 40 million users

Google showcased their Chrome OS today.

The company did not release any early version of it today. Though, they released the open source edition through Chromium OS branding.

Chromium OS source code is available for download however.

Google also released some details on their Chrome web browser.

The company said that Google Chrome has around 40 million users around the world.

Google added that they are also nearing the launch of the official extensions for Chrome.

And they aim to release Google Chrome for Mac before the end of the current year. A Dev Channel edition is already available and works well.
