Digsby has a video demo showcasing features
We are no fans of Digsby ever since it was discovered that they were using your processor power for some third party processing.
We tend to stick with Pidgin/Adium depending upon the platform we are using.
It remains a pretty good instant messaging solution however. The developers have released a video showcasing what is possible with Digsby.

I don't think you can really say that it was "discovered" that there was an optional module which makes use of idle CPU time since it was published on the company blog almost a year before the lifehacker article came out discussing it:
