Mozilla Firefox is five years old!

Mozilla Firefox is now the second most popular web browser in the world today.

This open source offering is celebrating its fifth birthday.

Mozilla’s Firefox 1.0 was launched on November 9, 2004 and it has been a long journey for it and the developers behind this excellent software.

Mozilla had this to say: “With additional entrants, most notably Google and Apple, joining the fray there’s a massive amount of competition in the browser market that is fueling constant innovation and envelope pushing, from speed and features to the development of the mobile browser.”

Mozilla Firefox now is one of the several products that are competing with Microsoft Internet Explorer. Apple Safari, Google Chrome and Opera Browser are all developing at rapid pace.
