Google Chrome might get Google Toolbar features

Google launched their web browser product Chrome last year. It turned out to be a fantastic product and has gained a big fan following.

Some users however dislike the fact that Google does not provide their own Google Toolbar for Chrome.

The reason is simple. Google Chrome does not yet have an API that makes it possible for the Toolbar team to develop something for it.

Things might change in the coming months as a Google representative said this on support forum:

We’re working with the Google Chrome team to develop a Toolbar extension, as well as bring some of our most popular features to Google Chrome. Stay tuned, and I appreciate your being patient. :-)

It is also worth mentioning here that Google Chrome can do perform most of the functions of Google Toolbar on its own. Some other features can be replicated with bookmarklets.
