Skype to get an open source version for Linux
Online reports were claiming that Skype was going open source.
Skype has blogged about these rumors and have admitted that they are working on releasing an open source edition of Skype for the Linux platform.
But they are not prepared to give out all the details.
Skype said:
Yes, there’s an open source version of Linux client being developed. This will be a part of larger offering, but we can’t tell you much more about that right now.
