Microsoft FrontPage is now Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007
Software giants Microsoft recently disclosed important details on their upcoming Microsoft Office 12 edition. The office suite would officially be called Office 2007 and one of the interesting part of the news was the missing Microsoft FrontPage application.
However, closer inspection just goes on to reveal that the company has somewhat renamed the application and would release it under the name SharePoint Designer 2007. Microsoft first offered FrontPage in mid-1990s when they acquired the original version from their original developers.
It has been a quite controversial HTML editor considering the code it generated was not very neat and not many professional web developers approve of it. Office 2007 suite also however brings in many new applications including The Microsoft Groove 2007 collaboration program and Office Communicator Web Access.
