Mozilla showcases more mockups for Firefox 4
It looks pretty clear now that Mozilla is getting heavily influenced by Google Chrome user interface.
They have showcased some more mockups of Firefox 4 which is expected to arrive later next year.
The new mockups make Firefox look a lot like Google Chrome with tabs at the top and menu bar buttons on the right side of the address bar.

It is also likely to feature Browser Sync via Mozilla Weave a feature which is already being integrated in Google Chrome. Google Chrome dev channel has a feature that can sync your bookmarks on Google Docs.
Of course, these are just mockups and the final edition might not look anything like this. But the Google Chrome design elements are pretty clear.
Mozilla is not alone. Apple has already borrowed some of the design elements in their Safari web browser.

Noooo!!! Please, if you must do this, allow an option to return to the classic (current) UI.

its Firefox, you can always be sure that someone would create a theme mimicking the older interface. thats the fun with open source software.
