MapQuest updates their maps but it is probably too late

Couple of years ago, MapQuest was probably the only well known service for seeing maps online.

Google changed all that with their Google Maps service.

They forced Yahoo, Microsoft and of course MapQuest to re-evaluate their strategies and work hard to compete with them.

And all the rivals have struggled.

MapQuest is no longer the market leader but they are still the second largest player in the US market.

They are working hard to ensure that they do not lose more users to Google Maps.

MapQuest has just announced that they have updated their maps to make them clearer and accurate.

These latest updates are however similar to the updates Google rolled out a few days back. For a dedicated company, MapQuest is not really doing a good job.
