Google Maps Navigation for Android would be free!

Google is all set to shakeup the GPS navigation market.

The company has announced that they would soon launch a new mobile application for the Android devices.

This new application is named Google Maps Navigation and it would be offered for free.

It would require a GPS capable Android smartphone.

Users would get the ability to use this app for GPS navigation with exciting features that include Google Street View and voice navigation.

Google CEO Eric Schmidt spoke about this app: “Mobile platforms–Android and others–are so powerful now that you can build client apps that can do magical things connected to the cloud.”

Google is also working in collaboration with Apple to bring this app to the iPhone.
