Mozilla Firefox gains 30 million new users in last 2 months!
Mozilla Chief executive John Lilly has revealed that they have gained around 30 million new users of their Firefox web browser in the last two months.
This data was collected from the pings made by the browser to check for new versions from Mozilla servers.
Lilly revealed this in a message posted on Twitter.
Tristan Nitot, president of Mozilla Europe confirmed it in a statement: “We’ve seen a significant increase in the number of users for Firefox. Firefox checks for new versions every 24 hours, when it’s running, and when it checks, it pings the Mozilla server. We count the number of pings.”
