Microsoft Security Essentials beta program continues
Microsoft might have released the first stable edition of their free anti-virus program Microsoft Security Essentials but they are continuing with their beta program for new versions.
The company has invited a select number of users to the beta program who would be provided with early access to new test versions with new features and capabilities.
Microsoft had this message for these users:
Interested in joining the fight against viruses, spyware, and other PC health dangers? Help improve Microsoft Security Essentials, Microsoft’s new antimalware solution for consumers, by becoming an Ongoing Beta program tester. As part of the Microsoft Security Essentials Ongoing Beta program, you will have the opportunity to explore new builds before the public sees them, submit bugs, and give feedback. Your feedback helps Microsoft to make its software and services the best that they can.
These beta testers had to uninstall their existing edition to play around with the new beta builds.
