Pepsi Amp up before you score mobile app removed from Apple App Store
Pepsi has announced that they have now removed their mobile app named ‘Amp up before you score’.
Amp up before you score was heavily criticized in the media for stereotyping women.
The app categorized women and provided tips on how to score with different types of women.
Pepsi had earlier said that the app was developed and released in good humor and it was not meant to be seriously considered.
Pepsi spoke about removing the app from the App Store: “We’ve listened to a variety of audiences and determined this was the most appropriate course of action.”
The app was developed as part of their marketing campaign for Pepsi Amp energy drink. It was available for both Apple iPhone and iPod Touch devices.
