Google Reader gets two new features: Explore and Magic sorting

Google continues to enhance their online feed reading service Google Reader.

They have added two new functionalities to Google Reader which makes it even more capable.

These two new features are:

Explore: This section is designed to bring to you the best and the latest trending topics from the web. It also includes the recommended feeds feature which suggests new content based on your existing profile and reading history.

Personalized Ranking: Google Reader would now monitor the feeds which you read the most. This data is used to generate a new ranking scheme named Sort by Magic. It comes handy when you have little time to check your feeds and want to see your favorite ones.
