Microsoft Office Starter 2010 to replace Microsoft Works

US based software giant Microsoft has announced that they would replace MS Works with a special edition Microsoft Office Starter 2010.

Microsoft Office Starter 2010 would include Office Word Starter 2010 and Office Excel Starter 2010.

These applications would provide limited functionality and the users would be able to migrate to the full editions by purchasing the key.

Incidentally, the software would include the entire Office Suite but extra features can be enabled only by activating the appropriate license.

Essentially, you would have the entire suite on your computer but most of it would remain useless eating up space on your hard disk. This could become a problem for the owners of netbooks or systems with limited storage space.
