Scribd launches Scribd Reader for online news magazines

Scribd is already popular for their web based service that enables people to share documents with each other.

The company has now launched their Scribd Reader for news media magazines.

This would allow blogs and newspapers to “share source materials directly with readers by embedding court filings, memos, and reports in news articles”.

They are working with several partners who would get the ability to “retain official branded attribution for source materials wherever they’re shared across the Web”.

Some of their partners in this project includes The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, The Huffington Post,TechCrunch, Mediabistro.
