Palm prepares for more apps for their Pre smartphone

Palm has been criticized in the recent months for their policies which discourages a lot of developers to write applications for the webOS platform.

The company is set to change all that. Apparently, Palm has finally realized that more applications would enable them to sell more devices in the market.

Palm has now announced that third party developers can now submit their applications for review before they can be offered through the Palm App Catalog.

Developers are now also allowed to offer their applications directly to customers through the web based storefront.

They are also now allowed to pay for highlighted presence on the App Catalog.

Palm representative Dion Almaer said in a statement: “This program will give developers an opportunity to get applications out as fast as they can create them.”
