Adobe patches flaws in Adobe Creative Suite 2 platform
The leading software company Adobe has released patches for their popular Adobe Creative Suite 2 platform. These updates fix potentially serious code execution flaw in the various applications, which are part of the bigger suite for web developers and print media designers.
Adobe rates this patches as important and recommends all the users to apply them as soon as possible. These updates fix problems in Adobe Creative Suite 2, Adobe Photoshop CS2, and Adobe Illustrator CS2 on both Windows and Mac OS platforms.
The company in addition is also working on creating a schedule to release monthly updates for their applications in a similar fashion to how Microsoft and Oracle does. However, that is not expected to be implemented in the coming months. Adobe believes that they should be on it by the end of the year.
Adobe warned about these new bugs, which are fixed by the latest patches: “If exploited, this vulnerability could allow a hostile user to replace program files with malicious or harmful code that could read, write, or destroy sensitive data if subsequently run by a privileged user.â€
