Google fixes Orkut Friends Export Bug
Interesting developments in the war between Facebook and Orkut.
Orkut is hugely popular in two markets Brazil and India.
Facebook targeted the users in these two countries by suggesting that they import their Orkut friend lists to connect with their friends and relatives on Facebook itself.
A couple of hours later, users found out that Orkut’s friend export feature had stopped working.
Google has now reported that the bug was introduced after they added some additional security measures to Orkut Friends Export.
Instead of getting the CSV data file, users were being redirected to the Orkut homepage.
The company developers have fixed the bug and you can now export your friend list from Orkut.
