Spotify to allow offline playback on desktops!

Spotify has been making news for its excellent music streaming app for mobile devices and desktops.

The service has been allowing users on mobile devices to store some music content for offline playback.

They are now planning to offer a similar feature on desktops.

Paying customers would be able to make their playlists and the music in these playlists would be stored for offline listening.

This makes Spotify a potential challenger to digital media stores like Apple iTunes.

Spotify still does not allow you to buy music but supports third party services like 7Digital, iTunes Store and Amazon MP3.

The ability to offline music for offline listening makes it a very useful app.
