Google offering a free online OCR service!
Google has launched a new demo service which enables you to perform OCR on images online for free.
It is part of the company’s Documents List Data API ecosystem.
The company has released two new features in this API: OCR and Document Translation.
Google warns that OCR would work properly only on very high resolution images.

We played around with it using some test documents. We liked what we saw.
Google developers have promised that they would keep on improving it to make it more useful and usable.
Users also get the ability to translate the document online after the upload.
