Google Chrome OS is one of the highly awaited Linux Distribution of this year.

It is unlikely to appear on the scene in the coming months however.

Google is aiming to have products powered by it launched sometime later next year.

This has not stopped Linux fans to come out with their own vision of the Google Chrome OS.

Chrome OS is one such distribution based on the SUSE Studio.

Essentially, it strips away most of the bloat and focuses on the Google Chrome web browser for the Linux platform.

It highlights direct links to Google Chrome along with popular web based applications. The developers have made sure OpenOffice is available for offline work.
