Official Now: Google Search pages now show internal links on web pages

Google has now made it official.

The company has been testing this new functionality since sometime now.

Google Search result pages now provide internal links to web pages.

This feature enables you to jump to exact location of the data you might be looking for provided the web page has internal links.

Wikipedia is one popular destination which makes heavy usage of internal links. These links (anchors) are referred to using #keyword in the HTML code.

Google said in a blog post: “We’ve enhanced the search snippet with two new features that make it easier to find information buried deep within a page.”
