Twitter: Ads are not coming at least this year
Twitter co-founder Biz Stone has revealed that they currently have no plans to introduce ads to the service this year.
He added that the company is doing well with the funding they have received.
They are still focusing on adding more features and generating enough value for the users.
Stone: “Any kind of approach toward advertising is going to be awhile … We’re not thinking about that just yet.”
He was speaking at the 140: Twitter Conference in Los Angeles.
Recent reports claim that the latest round of funding for Twitter put its value at around USD 1 billion.
Twitter has been working on adding premium features to their service to lure business customers into paying for special features.
Store said: “We wanted to show people that we’re here to stay and here we are making money”.
