Thing Labs launches Let’s Be Trends Twitter API

Trends is one of the most powerful features of Twitter.

It highlights the current hottest topic on the internet.

But the problem with most trends is that they are not really detailed about what they are.

Of course, names of popular celebrities and products are easy to recognize. But there are a lot of trends which might not make much sense to the users of Twitter worldwide.

Thing Labs has a solution for that. They are the makers of the web based Twitter client Brizzly.

Brizzly allows their users to give their own description of the trends which are popular on Twitter.

They are providing an API that can be used to extract that information from their systems.

This API can be picked up by Twitter clients and maybe Twitter itself to make the trending feature much more descriptive.
