Twitter’s Project Retweet won’t have commenting ability in first version

It is now almost confirmed that the upcoming Project Retweet feature of Twitter would not allow users to comment on the tweet they are retweeting.

Instead, it would focus on letting users getting comfortable with the idea of retweeting.

Retweeting is pretty popular on Twitter which enables you to forward a tweet you liked sometimes with your own comments.

In its first version Project Retweet would practically be a form of bookmarking with the original author getting the ability to see who retweeted his tweets.

We are hoping to see Twitter integrating a way to allow users to add comments.

Till them, most of us would be retweeting the old fashioned way! RT My Comments @XYZ Tweet.
