Google launches Data Liberation Front
Google has announced the launch of a Data Liberation Front.
It is essentially a group of Google engineers who are now going to work on opening up their services to enable users to move their data with them if they are switching to a rival service.
The company said that they aim to provide simple import and export functions on all of their services in the near future.
Google Blogger and Gmail already have easily available options in this regard. They are now going to enable similar functionalities on other services like Google Sites and Google Docs.
